Fiberglass Doors

Fiberglass entry doors come prehung on weathertight wooden frames fitted with weatherstripping. Oftentimes, fiberglass doors will be outfitted with 2-pane or 3-pane glazed glass to minimize heat loss.

When you think "fiberglass", you may not immediately think "beauty", but the truth is that it can be very difficult to tell fiberglass from wooden doors. Fiberglass doors can be molded, stained and varnished to simulate the grain and appearance of wood. Fiberglass doors tend to be slightly more expensive than steel doors, but steel doors can't simulate wood quite as well. Fiberglass composite doors provide excellent security, as do steel doors - both are stronger than wood.
